The First Step in Karate
For the Little Ones

At Altius Karate Club, we believe character development begins in early childhood.

Our Pre-Karate program is designed to be your child's first adventure

in the world of martial arts.

This is how the

youngest in our Dojos train

Through play and discipline, we help them develop their bodies and minds in a safe

and respectful environment, laying the foundations for a life of confidence and values.

More Than Kicks and Punches:

The Adventure of Growth

Pre-Karate is not about teaching them to fight, but about introducing them to a way of life.

With a playful approach adapted to their ages, we turn training into a fun experience where every movement

is a game and every lesson is an opportunity to learn.

Questions You May Have

At what age can children start Pre-Karate?

Our program is designed for children aged 4 to 6 years. At this stage, training focuses on developing basic motor skills, coordination, and social skills through playful activities.

Is karate safe for such young children?

Absolutely. Safety is our top priority. Pre-Karate classes do not include physical contact or aggressive combat techniques. We focus on stretching exercises, coordinated movements, and games that help build discipline and body control in a protected environment.

How do I know if my child is ready for karate?

The best way to know is through experience. If your child shows energy, curiosity, and is ready to socialize in a structured setting, Pre-Karate is an excellent choice. We invite you to a free trial class so you can see how they adapt to the dojo's dynamics.

What values will my child learn in the dojo?

Beyond physical skills, karate teaches core values like the respect, discipline, perseverance, and humility. These lessons are conveyed in every class, helping children develop a strong character and a positive attitude for life.

What equipment does my child need to start?

For the trial class, no special equipment is needed. We only recommend comfortable sportswear. Once you decide to join the program, we will provide information about the uniform (karategi) and other basic items you will need.

What are the classes like and how long do they last?

Pre-Karate classes are short, dynamic, and fun, adapted to the attention span of young children. They last 30 to 45 minutes and are designed to keep them active and engaged, combining exercises with games.
