Questions You May Have

How different is this program from the children's program?

The program for 12 to 17-year-olds is deeper and more demanding. We focus on refining advanced techniques, studying higher-level katas, and preparing for high-level competitions. Discipline becomes internalized, turning training into a path of self-knowledge and personal growth.

How will karate help my child face the challenges of adolescence?

Karate is a powerful tool. Through practice, young people develop self-control, resilience, and strong self-confidence. This helps them manage stress, make decisions under pressure, and confront bullying. We teach them to be strong in character, not just physically.

Is there an overly competitive atmosphere?

While we offer opportunities to compete in national and international tournaments, the main emphasis is on personal growth. The competition is with oneself. We foster a supportive and friendly environment where students motivate each other to reach their goals, celebrating both successes and effort.

Can my child start practicing karate at this age with no prior experience?

Of course! Many of our students begin their karate journey during adolescence. Our program is structured to welcome beginners of all ages. Our instructors adapt instruction to ensure each young person receives the solid foundation needed to progress with confidence.

What benefits does karate bring for my child's future?

Beyond self-defense, karate instills a strong sense of responsibility and leadership. The skills of discipline, focus, and perseverance learned in the dojo are invaluable for academic and professional success. Karate is not just a sport; it is training that prepares them for adult life.
